Muhammad Afif Alhad took general psychology for his undergraduate program and attained his bachelor degree from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) in 2013. A year after, he took personality psychology for his postgraduate program and achieved his master degree from Universitas Indonesia (UI) in 2016. In July 2018 he officially joined Psychology Department, Faculty of Social Sciences dan Political Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya as a lecturer.

Mentoring and Supervision
In 2015 – 2016 he conducted a research under the supervision of a clinical psychologist who is also a personality trait expert in Universitas Indonesia. His research was entitled “The association between the five-factor model of personality and the subjective well-being of Abdi Dalem of the Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat”. The research mainly discussed about one of the personality traits approaches which classifies personality traits into five domains (neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness) and their correlation to subjective well-being possessed by employees that work for the Kasunanan Palace. This research highlighted the interconnection between employees’ personality traits, their subjective well-being and the philosophy of life existing in Kasunanan Palace.
