PhD Opportunities in Psychology, Medicine, Health: Information from the UK and Australia

Hosted by the Psychology Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia in cooperation with the School of Psychology University of Leeds, UK (Dr Madeleine Pownall and Dr Richard Harris), and the School of Psychology, The University of Adelaide, Australia (Prof Deborah Turnbull)
This interactive information session will provide an overview of upcoming PhD opportunities for doctoral study in the UK and in Australia. Dr Madeleine Pownall and Dr Richard Harris from the School of Psychology, University of Leeds (UK) will provide delegates with information about potential funding opportunities, PhD topics, and prospective PhD supervisors in the Faculty of Medicine and Health in Leeds. Professor Deborah Turnbull from the School of Psychology, University of Adelaide (Australia) will provide an overview of opportunities in Australia.
The session will cover: applying for doctoral scholarships, identifying a prospective supervisor, and writing competitive funding applications. There will be time for questions.

Bios:
Dr Madeleine Pownall is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology, University of Leeds. She is a social psychologist, and her research is interested in teaching and learning; student success; open research; and metascience. She is also the Admissions Tutor for the School of Psychology.
Dr Richard Harris is an Associate Professor and Director of Student Education at the School of Psychology, University of Leeds. His research spans across topics including global citizenship; psychological literacy; Sustainable Development Goals; and pedagogy.
Professor Deborah Turnbull is the Chair of Psychology and has been researching in the area of health and clinical psychology for over 20 years. Professor Turnbull’s expertise lies at the intersection of psychology, health, and education, making her a valuable contributor to the academic community.
